I hope everyone is still healthy and staying safe!
As you know, the government of Ontario has extended their declaration of emergency to May 12th. Under this provision, golf courses are not able to open. As soon as this is lifted and it is deemed safe for golf courses to open, we will be finalizing all necessary protocols and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all staff, members and guests.
We have been working with the NGCOA and others in the golf industry in assisting in a group effort to ensure that golf courses are among the first allowable activities to open for business when economic recovery strategies are put in place and stay at home guidelines start to be lifted in Ontario. If you feel strongly about having golf returned, we invite you to contact your local MPP and to sign one of the few online petitions: https://www.change.org/p/government-of-ontario-doug-ford-have-golf-courses-open-in-ontario?signed=true
Contingency planning is well underway regarding day to day operations inside and outside, all club related leagues, programs and tournaments and other functions that were and are scheduled here at the club. Our club policies are currently under review and in the event of a major delay to the start of the golf season, reasonable options will be applied under the circumstances.
We are continuing to operate the Lounge take-out! Starting May 1st, we will be open for take-out Wednesday-Friday 11am-7pm and Saturday-Sunday 4pm-7pm. It will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Our May menu can also be found by clicking here.
Finally, I want to thank our healthcare, front line and essential workers for their service during this time! With so many people in our community involved with COVID-19, we want to show our appreciation to them. Every Wednesday we will do a draw for 2 meal give-aways! To nominate someone deserving, please email us at email@example.com and tell us who they are, what they do and why you are nominating them.
