Jake Near

Jake Near is the General Manager at Mitchell Golf & Country Club.
Jake joined the club in March 2023 following a four-year career in finance, bringing with him a strong background in business operations, customer service, and organizational leadership. He holds a diploma in Sports and Recreation Management from Lambton College and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Brock University.
As General Manager, Jake oversees all aspects of club operations, including golf operations, food and beverage services, staffing, and member experience. His focus is on delivering a high-quality experience for members and guests while continuing to grow and enhance the club’s offerings.
Jake’s leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the club make him a valuable part of the Mitchell Golf & Country Club team.
Judy Jansen
Kitchen Operations Manager
Judy Jansen is the Kitchen Operations Manager at Mitchell Golf & Country Club.
With over 17 years of experience at the club, Judy brings extensive knowledge, consistency, and leadership to her role. Her long-standing commitment to MGCC ensures a seamless and high-quality food service experience for members and guests alike.
As Kitchen Operations Manager, Judy oversees all kitchen operations, including menu execution, food preparation, inventory management, and leading the kitchen team. Her attention to detail and dedication to quality play a key role in the success of the club’s food and beverage offerings.
Judy’s experience and passion for her work make her an invaluable part of the Mitchell Golf & Country Club team.
Arron Tough
Head Greens Superintendent
Aaron brings a wealth of experience in turf maintenance, having worked at several respected golf courses throughout his career, most recently at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club.
As Head Greens Superintendent, Aaron is responsible for overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf health, irrigation systems, equipment management, and leading the grounds crew. His focus on playability, consistency, and long-term course conditioning ensures that members and guests enjoy the course at its best throughout the season.
His knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for course conditions are a tremendous asset to our club.
